data and ethics

The focus for research activities will be developed in collaboration with care homes and could include a range of data collection methods, for example surveys, secondary analysis of existing care home data, or qualitative data (such as interviews or observation).

The Lead Researcher will lead on promoting best research practice and conduct, including ensuring necessary research ethics and governance approvals are in place. This will also include ensuring that best practice is understood and implemented by researchers working with the care homes. These activities will ensure reputation is maintained.

All our projects are reviewed by the appropriate research ethics committees.

A data sharing agreement (DSA) will be agreed between the university and care home organisations.
