Pennington Court and Seacroft Green carehomes are to help researchers get a major £2m national study of wearable devices (like a small digital watch) to improve contact tracing in care homes ready for its full launch early in 2021. You can read more about the CONTACT trial here . This is the first study to examine contact tracing using wearables and Niche-Leeds has helped since day 1 of the trial application. It is hoped that the devices and the feedback that homes receive will lead to more effective infection control, informed visiting policies (including from healthcare professionals) and less people dying before their time.
