Care Home Resident Clive

Clive was a proud postman. He loved nothing more than getting side tracked chatting to people. Still adjusting to the NICHE Leeds care home, he can be found in the lounge, handing out newspapers hoping one of the other residents will join him for a chat.

Clive is also still adjusting to his dementia diagnosis. He is aware of his condition and can seem slightly frustrated at times when he has difficulty remembering. He struggles to hide his confusion, with his big heavy brows he can often look as though he is frowning.

The carers are keen to maintain his independence and mobility, by giving him tasks, or getting him involved with activities in the home.

Clive continues to have a good support network, with his wife and daughter visiting regularly. The care home staff know if they have any questions they can either ask Clive himself, or reach out to his loved ones.
